Where To Buy Vietnamese Children's Books In The US And Canada

Finding Vietnamese children's books can be a challenge for families living outside of Vietnam. I have compiled a list of online places that sell Vietnamese children's books in the US and Canada and want to share about them in this blog post.

Some of these are moms and authors who created their own books, while others are online bookstores that import books from Vietnam. Number 1, 2 and 3 might be familiar for some of you, because they're more active in the English speaking Vietnamese parenting community. Number 4, 5 and 6 are more popular among Vietnamese speaking Vietnamese community.

Reading children's picture books to young babies and toddlers not only teaches them Vietnamese naturally but also nurtures their love for reading and fosters early language development. I hope that this list will make it easier for you to find Vietnamese children's books and nurture your child's bilingualism.

Tinywrist

Tinywrist is an online bookstore that specializes in bilingual Vietnamese books. They create beautiful children's storybooks. Their first one that got them started was a book about Vietnamese nursery rhymes. I wrote a review for that book here if you're interested in checking it out.

In addition to their wonderful books, they also have a YouTube channel - Tiny Wrist - where they post covers of well-known Vietnamese children's songs. Their music videos stand out among all Vietnamese kids songs on YouTube by the lovely illustrations, the beautiful piano sounds, and the peaceful music.

Gemma's Library

Gemma's Library is an online business that sells Vietnamese books for kids. Created by a second-generation Vietnamese mom with a passion for helping Viet families teach their kids Vietnamese through books, Gemma's Library offers a selection of books suitable for babies and toddlers. They are continually working on growing their "library" to provide more reading options for young children.

Vietcanbooks

Vietcanbooks is a Canadian-based online bookstore that sells Vietnamese books and learning materials to customers in both Canada and the US. Their products include children's books and parenting books, which are imported directly from Vietnam. Vietcanbooks is a valuable resource for families looking to promote bilingualism and a love for Vietnamese culture.

Tiệm Mọt

Tiệm Mọt is an online bookstore with locations in multiple countries, including the US and Canada. They offer a vast selection of Vietnamese books, not just children's books, catering to various age groups and interests. As a reputable source for Vietnamese literature, Tiệm Mọt is dedicated to promoting bilingualism and fostering a love for Vietnamese culture in the global Vietnamese community.

Tiệm Sách Việt Nhỏ

Tiệm Sách Việt Nhỏ is an online bookstore that specializes in Vietnamese children's books. Created by Vietnamese parents from Vietnam raising a little one in the US, they offer a wide range of books, including picture books, early readers, and chapter books. They also provide bilingual books in Vietnamese and English, as well as learning materials for children. Their mission is to promote bilingualism and a love for Vietnamese culture in the next generation.

Tiệm Sách Saigon

Tiệm Sách Saigon is a US-based online bookstore located in Virginia. They're open once a week on Sundays for readers to come visit and browse their collection. Similar to Tiệm Mọt, they offer a wide range of Vietnamese books, including children's books. By providing a diverse selection of books, Tiệm Sách Saigon helps promote bilingualism and a love for Vietnamese culture among families in the US.

These online places offer a great selection of Vietnamese children's books, making it easier for families in the US and Canada to find and purchase these books. By supporting these businesses, you help promote bilingualism and a love for Vietnamese culture in the next generation.
